EasterPictures and Easter Party

Yesterday we tried to take Easter pictures here at the house. There where 9 kids here total(the oldest was 4) and our two rabbits running wild. It was a little crazy but we ended up getting some good pictures.
After the craziness was over at the house we headed out to the park for a Easter Party. I am a member of a local moms group and we always put a party together for the kids for each holiday. The girls did a great job this time organizing. There where over 100 people there with lots of food, a Easter egg hunt, face painting and the Easter Bunny. The kids had a great time. They did the Egg hunt by age and Austin wanted to pretend he was five so he could go with the bigger kids. When Miranda did her egg hunt she kept walking past eggs and I tried to get her to pick them up and she said "no I only want the Purple ones." It was so cute.

Homosassa Springs State Park

On Wednesday we went to Homosassa Spring State Park. We went with our friends Kerri and her two boys. This is about 30 minutes north of us. We normally go about 2-3 times a year. It is a small wildlife park that has only Florida native animals like birds, alligators, key deer, manatees and a Hippo. Well, Lu the Hippo is not Native but she is just special. The Hippo is the kids favorite part. Miranda love to see them feed her a whole watermelon. But for some reason Lu was not hungry today and did not wake up for her show. The kids did have fun though. It was the first time I took them somewhere and made Miranda walk all day. Normally she sits in the stroller with Mason. She was very good and didn't complain about it once. It will be so nice when I don't have to push my giant double stroller around anymore.

Videos

I have taken a bunch of videos the last few weeks. I will try and post some but they seems to take forever to upload. I will try and get as many as I can.

Kayaking - Rainbow River

This past Saturday I went with a few frineds of mine for a girls day out. We went kayaking down the Rainbow River. It is about an hour drive north of us. The river starts at Rainbow Springs State Park and flows 5.6 miles down to the Withalacochee River. The whole river is spring fed so it is crystal clear the whole way. We started near the middle of the river at K.P. Hole and kayaked upstream to the headwaters at the state park. There is not to much of a flow so it wasn't very hard. We then came back and had lunch and then kayaked down the river about 1.5 miles and then turned around and came back to the park. The last little bit was the hardest of the day. We saw a few gators, birds and a family of otters. The weather was perfect, not to hot or too cold. You can tube down this river and we are hoping to take the kids some time soon.

Rogers Park

We had tried to go to Pine Island(our local beach) and they where full so we went to Rogers park instead. I am glad we did. I forgot how much I enjoy this beach. It is very small beach on the Weeki Wachi River. It is fresh spring water so it is always 72 degrees. It felt cold to me but the kids didn't seem to mind.

Behind on the blog

Well, I knew this would happen if I started a blog. I would never be able to keep up with it. I will now try and catch up everything that has happened in the last few weeks. The kids have been sick on and off but I think we are finally getting better. (knock on wood) During the times they haven't been sick we have been to the beach a couple times and started swim class last week. Mason got another tooth (that makes 3) and is working on the next one. On Saturday I got to get away with some friends for the day. We went kayaking down the Rainbow River. It was a great day.

I am going to try and post pictures and videos of all these events today.

Braves Game

On Sunday we went to a Braves Spring Training game at Disney. It was very hot but the kids seemed to enjoy it. We didn't get seats this time instead we got lawn tickets. It was a lot nicer. We brought a big blanket and the kids where able to run around while we watched the game. Also last night the shuttle launched. David went down the road with Austin to watch it from a clear spot. I didn't go so there where no pictures but David did get a short video before the battery died. It ended up being the best launch that we could see from our house.

Our Weekend

We had a nice weekend. Norlene and Steve came for a quick weekend visit. The kids ejoyed playing with them and want them to come back fast (that is what Austin said). We spent all day Saturday looking at houses with them. They plan on buying here while the market is low. They found one they liked and put a bid on it. They should hear something this week.

Sunday was a lazy day around the house for us. Norlene and Steve left early in the morning and we spent the rest of the day getting stuff done around the house.

Yesterday was a normal Monday for us. I took the kids to the park in the morning. Austin wanted to play tennis with the racket he had found over the weekend, but all the tennis courts where taken. We went to the racket ball courts instead. The kids had a blast playing in there. I would have never thought to take them there. I didn't have to chase after a ball one time. They ran around for about 45 minutes hitting and chasing the balls. Mason sat in his stroller the whole time watching and laughing at them. We are going to go back and play there more often.

A great thing also happened this weekend, Mirnada is finally using the potty. She has done really good. She still has a few accidents but they are getting fewer and father between. Its going to be nice to only have one in diapers.

We don't have too much planned for this week. We are going to the beach one day and we plan on going Strawberry picking too. This Sunday we are going to Disney for a Braves spring training baseball game. This will be the first time we tried to sit through a game with all 3 kids.

Disney

We spent the day today at Disney. It rained most of the morning as the cold front came through. It must have kept most of the people away because there where no lines anywhere we went. We went to Animal Kingdom first and then to Epcot. Once Austin saw the Everest ride he decided not to go on it. I sat out with the kids while David rode it. The only other thing we did at Animal Kingdom was the kids dinosaur ride. We where only there about 30 minutes. We spent the rest of the day at Epcot. We rode a bunch of stuff there and watched a few of the shows. We saw the show in China for the first time and I really enjoyed it. It is a large screen that circles the room. They show you different parts of China and some history behind it.

That was our day. I can't think of anything else exciting. The kids got to pick out a toy and we let them get something bigger then normal because all the toys in the park where 35% off. They never have discounts on anything and most of there souvenirs where on sale. I guess the economy is hurting at Disney as well. :)

Here are a few pictures and a video. (If I can figure out how to add them)
